8. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement (See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering

9. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement (See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and
Repair/Steering Wheel Replacement) .

Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (See: Starting and

2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Air
Bag(s) Arming and Disarming/Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement (See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering
Column/Service and Repair/Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement) .
4. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the RUN position.
