Rear Suspension Support Crossmember Replacement 

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Wheels and Tires/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear differential. Refer to the appropriate procedure:

Replacement)for the 5L40-E/5L50-E automatic transmission

Propeller Shaft, Differential, and Driveline Support Replacement  (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and

transmission

3. Remove the rear lower control arms. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement  (See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension/Lower

Control Arm Replacement) .

4. Remove the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement bolts (1). 
5. Remove the rear suspension lower control arm reinforcement (2).
