4. Place rear compartment lid lock release cable end, (Figure 1, Item 1), into J 41741, cable lubricator, and hand tighten top screw. This will create a
tight seal around conduit and grommet.
5. Attach nozzle tube to cable lubricator insertion hole and nozzle tube to can of aerosol-propelled silicone-based lubricant.
6. Dispense silicone for 60 to 120 seconds.
7. Remove rear compartment lid lock release cable end (Figure 1, Item 1) from J 41741, cable lubricator, and wipe off excess lubricant.
8. Snap in rear compartment lid lock release cable end (Figure 1, Item 1) into local clip in rear compartment lid lock release cable latch box (Figure
1, Item 2) and close door.
