Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
Accelerator Cable Bracket
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Cross slug from throttle body slot.
2. Depress tangs and remove cable.
3. Nut and bolt to throttle body.
4. Bracket.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Bracket to throttle body.
2. Nut and bolt.
TIGHTEN

Nuts to 26 Nm (19 lb. ft.)

Bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb. in.)
3. Cable to bracket, making certain tangs fully expand in bracket.
4. Cross slugs into throttle body slot.
INSPECT
Check for correct opening and closing positions by operating accelerator pedal. Make sure that the throttle valve reaches wide-open throttle
position. If it does not, inspect for damaged or bent brackets, levers, or other components; or, for poor carpet fit under the accelerator pedal.
Flexible components (hoses, wires, conduits, etc.) must not be routed within 50 mm (2.0 in.) of moving parts of accelerator linkage outboard of
support unless routing is positively controlled.
