Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid: Service and Repair

Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid
TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Remove negative battery cable.
2. Remove transaxle case side cover. Refer to "Case Side Cover and Gaskets".
3. Remove retainer clip from solenoid using a small screwdriver.
4. Remove solenoid and O-rings from transaxle. TCC solenoids have two O-rings.
IMPORTANT

Inspect solenoids and O-rings for damage.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install the solenoid and O-rings.
2. Install the retainer clip holding the solenoid in valve body.
3. Install the transaxle case side cover.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Refill transaxle with fluid to proper level.
