Evaporative Fuel Vapor Return Hose: Service and Repair

Fuel Vapor Pipes

WARNING:

Do Not attempt to repair the pipes or connecting hoses. If damaged, replace.

If the nylon pipe becomes kinked, and cannot be straightened, it must be replaced.

When replacing connecting hoses, always replace them with original equipment or parts meeting GM specifications. Use only reinforced
fuel-resistant hose which is identified with the word "Fluoroelastomer" or "GM 6163-M" on the hose. Inside hose diameter must match outside
pipe diameter.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Hardware retaining Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) pipe.
