Inspect the fuel injectors in the vehicle for the date code D195 as illustrated in Figure 1. In some situations an inspection mirror may be required to
inspect all of the fuel injectors. The date code will be followed by an '"A" or "B" these letters are immaterial. All injectors with the date code
D195, must be replaced.

If any fuel injectors are found bearing the date code D195 replace them using service procedures from section 6C of the appropriate service
manual.

Install Campaign Identification Label.

Clean surface of radiator upper mounting panel and apply a Campaign Identification Label. Make sure the correct campaign number is inserted on the
label. This will indicate that the campaign has been completed.

Dear General Motors Customer:

General Motors of Canada Limited has decided that some 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, Corsica, Beretta, and S10, GMC Sonoma and Pontiac Sunfire
models equipped with the 2.2L engine were built with some fuel injectors that may have been subjected to a stress of the plastic encapsulant. After an
extended period of time and mileage, the fuel injectors in some of these vehicles may exhibit leakage of fuel vapor that may cause the vehicle to be out of
compliance with evaporative emission standards.

To prevent this condition from occurring, your dealer will inspect the date codes of fuel injectors on the affected vehicles and if necessary, replace any
fuel injectors with involved date codes.

To ensure your full protection under the emission warranty made applicable to your vehicle, and your right to participate in future recalls, it is
recommended that you have your vehicle serviced as soon as possible. Failure to do so could legally be determined to be lack of proper maintenance of
your vehicle. Also, your vehicle may fail a province or local emission inspection test if the recall work is not completed.

Should your dealer find your emission system has been intentionally disabled, you will be asked if you wish the system to be restored so that it will
function as designed. The cost of such restoration will be your responsibility.
