1. Clean the valve seat area on the rear head.
2. Lubricate the O-ring of the new pressure relief valve and the O-ring assembly using new 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the new pressure relief valve (2).

Tighten
Tighten the valve to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Perform a leak test. Refer to Compressor Leak Testing (V5 - Conventional Mount) or Compressor Leak Testing (V5 Direct Mount).

Compressor Pressure Relief Valve Install (CVC - Direct Mount)

1. Clean the pressure relief valve seat area on the A/C compressor.
2. Lubricate the O-ring of the new pressure relief valve with clean refrigerant oil.

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the new pressure relief valve into the A/C compressor.

Tighten
Tighten the pressure relief valve to 7 N.m (60 lb in).
