Evaporator Tube Replacement
TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the hood close out filler panel. Hood Close Out Filler Replacement in Body Front End.
3. Remove the coolant surge tank hoses from the surge tank.
4. Remove the nut connecting the evaporator tube to the condenser.
5. Discard the O-ring seal.
6. Remove the tube from the retaining clip (6) located on the body side rail (2.4L only).
7. Remove the accumulator tube.
8. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
