2. Inspect the upper steering column mounting capsule nuts for movement (a). If the steering column collapse measurement is greater than 3 mm than
the steering column upper jacket must be replaced. Refer to Steering Column Jacket Replacement (See: Steering and
Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Steering Column Jacket Replacement) .
3. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement (See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering
Column/Service and Repair/Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement) .
