CONDITION:

Comments have been received on 1990 Trans Sport models noting poor vehicle mileage range and/or poor empty reserve characteristics. Indication to
the vehicle operator of these conditions may be that a fuel fill of only 15-16 gallons may be achieved when fuel gauge reads approximately empty.

CAUSE:

Fuel tank sender calibration and/or concavity (bowing upward) of lower fuel tank surface.

CORRECTION:

Replace existing fuel tank and fuel tank sender assembly with those indicated below following applicable Service Manual procedures.
