ASSEMBLE
1. Install bearing cap into strut compressor, then mount strut into compressor using bottom locking pin only, Fig. 9.
2. Install spring over dampener and swing assembly up so upper locking pin can be installed. Install upper insulator, shield, bumper and upper spring
seat.
3. Ensure fault on upper spring seat is facing in proper direction. Spring seat flat should be 0.0degrees forward of centerline of strut assembly spindle
as shown in Fig. 9.
4. Install guide rod and turn forcing screw while guide rod centers assembly. When threads on dampener shaft are visible, remove guide rod and
install nut.
5. Use a crow's foot line wrench while holding dampener shaft with socket and tighten to specification.
6. Remove clamp.
