Timing Balance Shaft And Camshaft Marks
INSTALL OR CONNECT
NOTE: If the pistons have not been moved in the engine, go to Step 3, otherwise Step 1.
If the balance shaft timing has been disturbed alignment is necessary before proceeding.
1. Turn crankshaft so that number one piston is at top dead center.
2. Turn camshaft so that with sprocket temporarily installed, timing mark is straight down.
3. Assemble timing chain on sprockets with timing marks in their closest together position.
4. Timing chain and sprocket.
5. Camshaft sprocket bolt.

Tighten to 100 Nm (74 lbs. ft.) +90°.
6. Timing chain damper. Tighten bolt to 19 Nm (14 lbs. ft.).
7. Front cover.
