7. Partially lower the vehicle.
8. Remove the 3 nuts from the top of the strut.
9. Remove the 2 nuts and the 2 bolts (1, 2) from the lower side of the strut.
10. Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Notice:
Care should be taken to avoid scratching or cracking the spring coating when handling the front suspension coil spring. Damage can cause
premature failure.
Important: Do not tighten the nuts or the bolts.
1. Install the 2 bolts (1, 2) and the 2 nuts (3, 4) to the lower side of the strut assembly.

2. Install the top of the strut assembly and the 3 nuts to the strut tower.
Tighten the nuts to 39 Nm (28.8 ft. lbs.).
3. Tighten the nuts and the bolts on the lower side of the strut assembly.
Tighten the nuts and bolts to 220 Nm (162.3 ft. lbs.).
4. If the vehicle has ABS, install the ABS wheel speed sensor to the knuckle.
5. Install the bolt (1) in order to retain the front brake hose to the bracket on the strut.
Tighten the bolt to 29 Nm (21.4 ft. lbs.).
