Seat Belt Height Adjuster: Service and Repair
Seat Belt Height Adjuster Replacement - Front (Driver Side)
SEAT BELT HEIGHT ADJUSTER REPLACEMENT - FRONT (DRIVER SIDE)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disable the drivers seat SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the seat belt shoulder guide.
3. Remove the front side door sill trim plate.
4. Remove the rear side door sill trim plate.
5. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel..
6. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel.
7. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

The bolt
-
The front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (1)
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install the front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (1) to the vehicle. Secure the adjuster with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster bolt to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).
