Vibe FWD L4-1.8L VIN L (2005)
1. Remove the lift gate sill trim panel. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement) .
2. Remove the rear body side lower garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Lower Rear (See: Garnish Molding
Replacement - Body Side Lower Rear) .
3. Remove the rear tool storage compartment tray. Refer to Tool Storage Compartment Replacement (See: Utility Storage Compartment/Service and
Repair/Tool Storage Compartment Replacement) .
4. Remove the rear storage compartment. Refer to Storage Compartment Replacement - Rear (See: Utility Storage Compartment/Service and
Repair/Storage Compartment Replacement - Rear) .
5. Remove the 4 bolts (3) and the 4 tie down hooks (1) from the trim panel (4).
6. Disengage the 4 plastic retainers (2) which secure the quarter lower trim panel (4).
7. Remove the quarter lower trim panel (4) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the quarter lower trim panel (4) to the vehicle. Ensure that the plastic retainers (2) are fully engaged.
2. Install the tie down hooks (1) and bolts (3) to the trim panel.
3. Install the rear storage compartment. Refer to Storage Compartment Replacement - Rear (See: Utility Storage Compartment/Service and
Repair/Storage Compartment Replacement - Rear) .
4. Install the rear tool storage compartment tray. Refer to Tool Storage Compartment Replacement (See: Utility Storage Compartment/Service and
Repair/Tool Storage Compartment Replacement) .
5. Install the rear body side lower garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Lower Rear (See: Garnish Molding
Replacement - Body Side Lower Rear) .
6. Install the lift gate sill trim panel. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
) .

Removal Procedure
1. Open the seat belt shoulder anchor cover (1) using a flat bladed tool.
2. Remove the shoulder anchor bolt (8).
3. Remove the seat belt shoulder anchor (7) from the vehicle.
