Seat Belt Height Adjuster: Service and Repair
Front (Driver Side)
SEAT BELT HEIGHT ADJUSTER REPLACEMENT - FRONT (DRIVER SIDE)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 in Restraint Systems.
CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.
2. Remove the seat belt shoulder guide.
3. Remove the front side door sill trim plate.
4. Remove the rear side door sill trim plate.
5. Remove the center pillar lower trim panel.
6. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel.
7. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

The bolt
-
The front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (1)
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster (1) to the vehicle. Secure the adjuster with the bolt.
Tighten the front seat shoulder belt retractor tension adjuster bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the center pillar upper trim panel.
3. Install the center pillar lower trim panel.
4. Install the seat belt shoulder guide.
5. Install the front side door sill trim plate.
6. Install the rear side door sill trim plate.
7. Enable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 in Restraint Systems.
