Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning:  Refer to SIR Warning   (See: Restraint Systems/Service Precautions/SIR Warning).

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling   (See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming/Service and

Repair).

2. Remove the floor mats from the vehicle, if equipped.
3. Remove the body hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement   (See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair).
4. Remove all 4 side door sill trim plates. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Front Sill)   (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair)Door Sill Plate

Replacement (Rear Sill)   (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair).

5. Remove the center pillar lower trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement   (See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair).
6. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement   (See: Console/Service and Repair).
7. Remove the rear floor console. Refer to Rear Floor Console Replacement   (See: Console/Service and Repair).
8. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket   (See: Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
9. Remove the vehicle YAW sensor. Refer to Vehicle Yaw Sensor with Vehicle Lateral Accelerometer Replacement   (See: Brakes and Traction

Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Yaw Rate Sensor/Service and Repair).

10. Remove the two clips (1).
11. Disengage the two guides (2) and remove the communication interface module cover (3).
