2. Place match marks on the brake pad retainers (4, 5) in order to identify the correct position and orientation.
3. Remove the brake pad retainers.
4. Remove the 2 slide pins (2, 9).
5. Remove the 2 slide pin boots (3, 8).

Discard the boots.

Inspection Procedure

Note:  DO NOT use abrasives in order to clean brake components.

1. Clean the insulators (1, 2, 5, 6) in denatured alcohol or an equivalent brake parts cleaner.
