6. Use a wrench in order to hold the caliper slide pins. Remove the caliper bolts (1).
7. Remove the caliper from the caliper bracket.

Inspection Procedure

1. Clean and inspect the disc brake mounting and hardware components. Repair or replace parts as necessary. Refer to Front Disc Brake Mounting

and Hardware Inspection   (See: Disc Brake System/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Front Disc Brake Mounting
and Hardware Inspection).

2. Clean and inspect the caliper. Repair or replace parts as necessary. Refer to Brake Caliper Inspection   (See: Testing and Inspection).

Installation Procedure

1. If the caliper piston is not compressed into the caliper bore, complete the following steps:

1. Wrap the handle of a hammer with tape.
2. Use the handle of a hammer in order to compress the caliper piston into the caliper bore.
