9. Remove the brake hose retainer (2).
Discard the brake hose retainer.
10. Remove the brake hose (1).
11. Install a cap or a plug to the brake pipe in order to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Installation Procedure
1. If you are reusing the brake hose, align the tags or marks in order to install the hose in the correct position.
If you are installing a new brake hose, verify the part number.
2. Remove the cap or the plug from the brake pipe.
3. Position the brake hose (1) on the brake pipe. Ensure the brake hose is not kinked or twisted.
4. Install a NEW retainer (2) as far as the retainer will go.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
5. Use a wrench in order to hold the brake hose. Use torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in) and a union nut wrench in order to
