21. Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise, then disconnect the plunger knock pin (2) from the hook (1).

22. Turn the crankshaft clockwise, then check that the plunger (1) is extended.
23. Set the No. 1 cylinder to TDC/compression.
24. Check the valve clearance. Refer to Valve Clearance Adjustment   (See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Clearance/Adjustments).
