11. Turn the crankshaft clockwise, then check that the plunger (1) is extended.
12. Set No. 1 cylinder to TDC/compression.
13. Check the valve clearance. Refer to Valve Clearance Adjustment   (See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Clearance/Adjustments).
14. Remove any old packing material from the contact surface. 

15. Install the cylinder head cover gasket and subassembly with the 8 bolts (1, 2) and 2 nuts (3) and tighten.

Bolts 1 to 11 Nm (8 lb ft)

Bolts 2 to 14 Nm (10 lb ft)

Nuts to 11 Nm (8 lb ft)
