5. Connect the quick-connect fitting of the fuel feed hose (2) to the fuel feed pipe (1) of the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting
Service (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Metal Collar Quick Connect
Fitting Service).
6. Install the cover for the quick connect coupling of the fuel feed hose.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
7. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten the retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
8. Turn ON the ignition in order to pressurize the fuel system.
9. Turn OFF the ignition.
10. Check for any fuel leaks.
11. Install the engine cover.
