2. Install the expansion valve (1) and evaporator tube assembly to the evaporator.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

3. Install the two bolts (2) to the expansion valve.

Tighten the bolts (2) to 3.5 Nm (31 lb in).

4. Install the evaporator inlet and outlet hoses.
5. Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging   (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and

Recharging).

6. Operate the A/C system. Inspect for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing   (See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General

Diagnostics/Leak Testing).
