Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Cover Replacement)

2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair)
3. Remove the air cleaner cap with hose.
4. Remove the air cleaner case.

5. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector (1).

6. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor (1) and gasket (2).
