Powertrain Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning:  Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning   (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service Precautions).

1. Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection   (See: Starting and

Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Service and Repair)

2. Remove the engine cover sub-assembly. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Cover Replacement)

3. Remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.
4. Remove the air cleaner case.

5. Separate the wire harness clamp (1).
