Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection   (See: Starting and

Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Service and Repair).

2. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement   (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair).
3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement   (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Tray/Service and Repair).

4. Separate the transmission control cable assembly
5. Remove the nut (1) and disconnect the control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.
6. Remove the clip and disconnect the control cable assembly from the control cable bracket.
