Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair

Steering Angle Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the supplemental inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Replacement  

(See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement).

2. Disengage the 6 claws and the 2 pins (1, 2).
3. Remove the steering angle sensor from the coil.

Installation Procedure

1. Align the 2 pins (1, 2).
2. Install the steering angle sensor to the coil. Engage the 6 claws.
