6. Remove the 2 nuts (2, 3) from the upper portion of the shock absorber.
7. Remove the bolt (1) from the lower portion of the shock absorber.
8. Slowly lower the jack and remove the shock absorber with the coil spring.
9. Remove the coil spring, if necessary. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement (All Wheel Drive and GT) (See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf

Installation Procedure
1. If you removed the coil spring, install the coil spring. Refer to Coil Spring Replacement (All Wheel Drive and GT) (See: Suspension Spring (

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
2. Install the bolt (1) to the lower portion of the shock absorber.
