4. Remove the larger rear drive shaft outboard joint boot clamp. Discard the clamp.
5. Remove the outboard joint boot from the outboard joint shaft assembly.

Note:  Do not disassemble the outboard joint.

6. Remove the old grease from the rear drive outboard joint shaft assembly.

Assembly Procedure

1. Install new parts to the outboard joint shaft in the following order:

1. Smaller rear wheel drive outboard joint boot clamp
2. Outboard joint boot
3. Larger rear wheel drive outboard joint boot clamp

2. Pack the outboard joint shaft assembly and outboard joint boot with grease from the boot kit.

Grease capacity: 100 g (3.6 oz)

3. Install the rear wheel drive shaft outboard joint boot clamp.

4. Crimp the smaller boot (1) retaining clamp (2) using J-35566 - clamp pliers.
