4. Using a screwdriver, pull the lock piece (1) out from the adjuster case.

Note:

With the shift lever in Neutral.

Make sure that the lock piece (3) is protruding from the adjuster case.

5. Install the shift lever cable to the shift lever assembly.
6. Install the select cable to the shift lever assembly.

Note:  Securely press in the lock piece until the lock engages.

7. Press in and lock the lock piece to the adjuster case.
8. Adjust the transmission shift lever cable.
9. Install the front floor console assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Console/Service and Repair).
