Preparatory work

1.1

Remove luggage compartment cover. --> Workshop Manual 703019 Removing and installing luggage compartment cover - section on

1.2

Remove fastening screw on Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) control unit and lay control unit to one side. --> Workshop Manual '443419

1.3

Loosen the cap nuts for securing the front and rear CD changer support.

1.3.1 Unscrew plastic nut --> Figure 4 -A- and pull off cap --> Figure 4 -B-.

1.3.2 Remove perforated section --> Figure 4 -Inset- of the luggage compartment panel trim panel.

1.3.3 Loosen cap nuts --> Figure 6 -A- by a few turns.

1.4

Expose electrical wire (power supply) --> Figure 6 -B-. Press the luggage compartment pan trim panel aside to do this.

ATTENTION

The optical waveguide can become damaged due to incorrect installation or if the requirements for handling optical waveguides are not
followed.

Install optical waveguide.

Remove connection point holder.
