Plug optical waveguide connector and electrical connector into the CD changer until they are felt to engage.

Position CD changer with supports onto the threaded bolts and tighten the cap nuts --> Figure 14 -Arrows-. Tightening torque: 6.5 (5.0
ft-lb.) Nm

Concluding work:

4.1

Slide cover --> Figure 15 over CD changer and engage securely.

4.2

Only for vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring control unit:

Position Tire Pressure Monitoring control unit and tighten fastening screw on control unit. --> Workshop Manual 443419 Removing and
installing tire Pressure Monitoring control unit - section on "installing".

4.3

Code CD changer.

4.3.1 Connect battery charger.

4.3.2 PIWIS Tester P 9718 must then be connected and ignition must be switched on

4.3.3 Select "GATEWAY" control unit and "Coding" function selection. Press [F12] to continue.

4.3.4 In the "Gateway coding" menu, select Required installed components lists and press [F8] to change the CD changer coding to Installed.

4.3.5 Select "PCM 2.1" control unit and "PCM 2.1 MMI" function selection.

4.3.6 In the "PCM 2.1 MMI function selection" menu, select Planned & Actual configuration and check whether the CD changer is present.

4.3.7 In the "PCM 2.1 MMI Planned & Actual configuration" menu press [F8] to accept the mapping.
