Removing and Installing Solenoid Hydraulic Valve (Camshaft Timing)
Removing hydraulic valve for camshaft timing

Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on hydraulic valves.
Note: The rear silencer must be removed and the holder must be detached before the hydraulic valve on cylinder side 4 - 6 can be removed.
1. Cylinder side 4 - 6 only: Remove rear silencer.
2. Cylinder side 4 - 6 only: Remove holder for rear silencer. Unscrew two M8 x 30 Torx screws on the intake side and two M8 x 25 screws on the
exhaust side and remove the holder.
3. Remove the side shield on the relevant side of the engine. To do this, unscrew the two M6 x 16 Torx screws -arrows-.
4. Disconnect cable plug on hydraulic valve -1 - by pressing the clip and pulling off the cable plug.
