W609 - Calibrating Fuel-level Sensor (Workshop Campaign)
Vehicle Type:
911 Carrera 4 (997) and 911 Carrera 4 S (997)
Model Year:
2006
Concerns:
Instrument cluster/fuel level display
Information:
This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on certain 2006 model year 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4 S vehicles. Vehicles were shipped
with an incorrectly calibrated fuel-level sensor. As a result of this incorrect calibration, the display in the instrument cluster shows an excessively high
possible driving distance when the range on remaining fuel is queried, e.g. when the warning light for the fuel level display comes on. To remedy the
situation, the fuel-level sensor needs to be recalibrated.
Measure:
Calibrate fuel-level sensor.
Affected Vehicles:
A total of 15 U.S. and Canadian vehicles fall within the scope of this Workshop Campaign.
Very Important!
