Replacing The Tension Cable

The following spare parts and tools are required for the repair Replacing the tension cable:

Removing the tension cable

1. Removing convertible-top covering.

1.1. Remove convertible-top covering. Refer to Replacing convertible-top covering with flexible rear window.

2. Disengaging the tension cable at the shaped sheetmetal part.

2.1. Cut the plastic sleeve -2- open with a pair of scissors.
2.2. Disengage the tension cable -3- from the tension spring -4- at the shaped sheetmetal part.
2.3. Pull the tension cable -3- out of the seal -5-.

Installing the tension cable

1. Fitting the tension cable at the shaped sheetmetal part.
