points of the holder -arrows- and tighten only slightly.

3. Slide the clamping sleeve over the muffler pipe and move it to installation position. Screw down both hexagon nuts and tighten with the prescribed

torque.

Tightening torque for hexagon nuts of the clamping sleeve: 46 Nm (34 ftlb.)

4. Tighten the three muffler fastening screws with the prescribed torque.

Tightening torque for the MB hexagon-head bolts on the muffler holder: 23 Nm (11 ftlb.)

Note! Replace fastening clamp for tailpipe.

5. Fit tailpipe. To do this, put the new fastening clamp (in the new installation position) -illustration below- with tailpipe onto the connecting pipe to

the muffler. Slightly tighten the M8 hexagon nut with a commercially available long 3/8-inch socket wrench insert (a/f 16).

6. Align tailpipe. To do this, position the tailpipe with respect to the rear spoiler.  See: 

7. Tighten hexagon nut of the tailpipe fastening clamp with the prescribed torque.

Tightening torque for fastening nut (a/f 16): 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)

Note! In order to avoid damage to the wheel, use the prescribed special tool (socket wrench insert) P300 to tighten the wheel bolts.

8. Mount the wheel again Refer to No.44, Mounting wheel on vehicle.
