6.1. Switch on ignition.
6.2. Completely close hood until the locking hook -1- locks the hood compartment lid -2- (-arrows-).
6.3. Switch off ignition.

7. Adjust hood compartment lid and hinge.

7.1. Unscrew fastening nuts -1- at the hood compartment lid and fastening nuts -2- at the hinge at the left and right.
7.2. Check contours with respect to the side panels and the rear lid and adjust if necessary. Refer to Diagram - body gap dimensions
7.3. Tighten fastening nuts -1- at the hood compartment lid and fastening nuts -2- at the hinge at the left and right. 

Tightening torque: 9.7 Nm (7

ftlb.)

8. Release hood compartment lid.

8.1. Switch on ignition.
8.2. Open hood until the locking hook -1- releases the hood compartment lid -2- (-arrows-).
8.3. Switch off ignition.

9. Release hood compartment lid.
