Child Seat Preparation For Passenger's Seat

Note:

The child car seat preparation includes an ISOFIX retaining bow (in the USA, Mexico and Canada: lower anchorage point) and an Airbag Off
switch. The ISOFIX retaining bow is fitted between the seat surface and the passenger's seat backrest.

The airbag is deactivated by changing the position of the Airbag Off switch (front side of the dashboard on the passenger's side) to "OFF" using the
vehicle key. The PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF (PAO) warning light in the center console comes on when the ignition is switched on, as a permanent
indication that the passenger's airbag is deactivated.

Depending on the country equipment/version, a child car seat may be used on the passenger's seat only if:

^

the passenger's airbag is deactivated (Airbag Off switch set to "OFF") and

^

the PAO warning light comes on when the ignition is switched on.

And for USA/Canada/Mexico, if:

^

weight sensing is active (Airbag Off switch set to "Auto") and

^

the PAO warning light comes on when the ignition is switched on when a child car seat and child are on the passenger's seat.

If the PAG warning light does not come on in the situations mentioned above, a child car seat must not be used on the passenger's seat. In this case, the
system must be checked out at a authorized Porsche dealer.
