Installing clutch slave cylinder (plug-in clutch line)
3.2.1.
Grease the line -1- at the connecting piece to the clutch slave cylinder using brake cylinder paste.
Part No. 000.043.117.00 (50g tube).
3.2.2.
Move the lock -4- to closed position and insert the line -1- (-arrow-).
3.2.3.
Clip the line -1- into the holder -2-.
3.2.4.
Check that the line -1- is secure in the holder -2-.
If there is play in the holder -2-, replace the holder -2-!
Subsequent work
1. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. The bleeding process is different for vehicles as of the 2009 model because of the return line.
Up to model year 2009:
As of model year 2009:
2. For vehicles as of model year 2009: Fit the clutch return line on the bleeder valve of the clutch slave cylinder (connect until it locks).
For vehicles up to model year 2009: Continue with Step 3 (check operation of the clutch).
2.1.
Remove special tool 9781 -5- from the return line -1-.

2.2.
Then, fit the return line -1- on the bleeder valve -3- of the clutch slave cylinder -2- immediately (connect until it locks). Brake fluid will
emerge for a short time (soak up brake fluid using a lint-free cloth).
