The locking bridge required for installing the adjustment pin of the preselector cable has been modified.
When installing the adjustment pin, only use the modified locking bridge P 9619/1 (green).

Concerns:
Reverse gear
Situation:
Preselector cable set incorrectly.
On 911 Carrera (997) and 911 Carrera 5 (997) vehicles with manual transmission, a preselector cable installed in the gearshift bracket undertension can
prevent the gate of reverse gear from being reached. As a result, reverse gear cannot be engaged.
In the event of a complaint, the adjustment pin of the preselector cable must be loosened and the preselector cable must be re-adjusted in the gearshift
bracket.
If the complaint cannot be remedied after re.adjustment of the preselector cable, the transmission must be replaced.
Action Required:
Re-adjust the preselector cable.

Work Procedure:
Remove and install the adjustment pin of the preselector cable.

Loosen the adjustment pin of the preselector cable on the gearshift bracket.

Put transmission in neutral (no gear engaged).
