Hood Safety Latch Modification

Installation of a safety catch protection bracket on the front luggage compartment lock.

1.

Open front luggage compartment hood, cover front bumper, remove luggage compartment carpet and remove spare wheel.

2.

If applicable, remove left cover in front of the battery (2 plastic nuts, 10 mm wrench size).

3.

Remove top lock cover (17, Figure 1). To remove the four speed nuts (18, Figure 1) push down locking tabs with a small screwdriver.
