Concern:

Electric seat jammed in backward stop position. Electric seat motor not powerful enough to pull seat from stop.

Vehicle Information:

The stop washers on the seat rail threaded rod are modified (harder material). The color of the new washer is
white (previously light brown).

From production date:

June 5, 1990.

Service Information:

The stop washers are not available as spare parts. If a seat is jammed in the backward stop position on earlier
production cars, cut the stop washer with a side cutter or similar tool and discard. Move seat at least five times
against the backward stop position with someone sitting in the seat. If the seat still jams, replace outer seat rail.
