Clutch Release Fork: Description and Operation
Release Fork Bearing
The bearing of the release fork is modified in comparison to the former G50/00 and G 50/50 transmissions.

Needle bearing (1) is installed in bores of the transmission case.

The release fork itself is fitted with aluminum sleeves (4).

Bearing shaft (3), formerly mounted rigidly on the case, "floats" in bearing sleeves and needle bearings.

The sealing off of needle bearings against dust and moisture is accomplished with special, plugged-on seals (2).
