Engaging control units at both retaining lugs

2. Engage control unit in support for wiring harness with both retaining lugs.

Clipping in control unit + Pivoting out securing bolt

3. Clip in control unit on the support for the steering wiring and engage the locking mechanism for the lock.

Programming new KESSY/PAS control unit

NOTE:

All original keys are required for teaching.

If a new KESSY/PAS control unit is installed in a vehicle, the immobiliser code, Teach Enable Code (TEC), ELV Secret Key, Transponder
password and Transponder Secret Key specified in IPAS must be entered.

You can get the codes from IPAS or from your importer by specifying the vehicle identification number.

During programming, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the Porsche System tester. It is essential to connect a battery charger with a
current rating of at least 40 A to the vehicle battery.

The Porsche System Tester instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed.
Deviations may occur with later software versions.

The procedure described here has been structured generally, different text or additions may appear in the Porsche System Tester.

In order to guarantee the function of the control unit after teaching, the coding value in the old control unit must be read out or determined again.
This value must be written into the new control unit after teaching.

1. Ignition off.
2. Replace control unit.

NOTE:  Once a new KESSY/PAS control unit has been installed, the ignition can no longer be switched on. In order for the Tester to be able to
identify the new control unit, the warning indicator light must remain switched on during the teaching procedure. This will activate CAN.

3. Insert ignition key and switch on hazard warning light switch.
4. Select vehicle type.
5. Switch to the control units ">>".
6. Select PAS with the cursor keys and press the ">>" key.
7. Switch to the menu Teaching functions and Teach CU, continue ">>".
8. Enter the Teach Enable Code TEC from IPAS ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
9. Enter vehicle identification number ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".

10. Enter the ELV Secret Key from IPAS ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
11. Enter immobiliser code from IPAS ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
12. Enter the Transponder password ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
13. Enter the Transponder Secret Key ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
14. Tester advises: Control unit taught, Teach keys. Select the Teach keys ">>" menu.
15. Enter the Teach Enable Code TEC from IPAS ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
16. Enter the Number of keys ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
17. Enter the Transponder password ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
18. Enter the Transponder Secret Key ">>" and confirm by pressing "F7".
19. Tester requests: Insert key 1 ">>", Insert key 2 ">>" etc., until the relevant number of keys is reached.
20. Tester information regarding Synchronisation of keys is no longer necessary.
21.  Switch on the ignition, read out the fault memory of all control units, and erase if necessary.
22. "<<" Return to vehicle type, select the Special functions on the control unit side, and carry out a vehicle handover.
23.  Then read out the fault memory again, and erase fault memory for each faulty control unit.
24. Start engine with all keys, one after the other.

NOTE:
