Attachment B - Work Procedure

Follow the steps below and refer to the enclosed excerpt from the Technical Manual at the end of this bulletin for the actual work procedure.

1.

Check the part number of the engine wiring harness. Use the criteria in section 97-1, pages 2 and 3 located in the "Pages from the Technical
Manual" to determine if the wiring harness needs to be replaced. The work procedure is abbreviated below in steps 2 to 5.

If the information is not legible on the harness tag, the harness needs to be replaced. Replace the harness then go to step 6.

3.

If the production date code of the harness is January 5th, 1996 or later, regardless of the harness part number, the harness has already been
replaced. Do not replace the harness. Go to step 6.

Note:

The Europeans use a different date nomenclature than we do. The month and day are reversed. The production date on the harness will be
shown as follows: dd.mm.yy.

If the part number on the harness matches up with a part number listed in the table located in section 97-1 page 3, in the "Pages From the
Technical Manual" and the production date code is before January 5th 1996, the harness needs to be replaced. Replace the harness then go to step
