Information:
The automatic door locking feature may be programmed to one of four different modes of operation. This feature is only available from Model Year
1998.
Version 1:
Doors lock automatically when the ignition is switched on.
Version 2:
Doors lock automatically when a speed of 3-6 mph is exceeded.
Version 3
Doors lock automatically when the ignition is switched on. If the doors are opened with the engine running, they will lock automatically when a speed of
3 - 6 mph is exceeded.
Version 4:
Doors do not lock automatically.
All vehicles leave the factory programmed to version 4.
The Porsche System Tester (PST2) is required to change the automatic door locking version.
Procedure:
1.
Connect the Porsche System Tester (PST2).
2.
Select vehicle type and start an automatic control module search.
3.
Select Alarm system.
4.
Select Coding in the "Function selection" menu.
5.
Select Version Coding in the "Coding" menu.
6.
Select the appropriate version and store the setting with the "F8" key (Coding).
7.
Return to the Start menu with the "Esc" key and switch off the system tester.
8.
Test the system for correct operation of the selected version.
