Removing spark plugs

1. Remove the two fastening screws (M6 x 20) -Arrows- for the cover plates on both cylinder heads and remove the plates.
2. Disconnect the cable plugs on the ignition coils. To do this, first slide the rubber sleeves up. Then press the locking lug on each ignition coil and

pull off the individual plugs. Disconnect the cable plugs for the solenoid hydraulic valves for easier access.

3. Unscrew two M6 x 25 fastening screws -Arrows- on each ignition coil and remove the six ignition coils individually.

CAUTION:
Incorrect tool for changing the spark plugs.

Ceramic body breaks.

Use approved tool only.

4. Unscrew the spark plugs using the tool spark plug socket wrench NR.14 with 3/8 inches extension, 16 degrees movable NR.15.

Fitting spark plugs

1. Fit spark plugs using spark plug socket wrench NR.14 and 3/8 inches extension, 16 degrees movable NR.15. - Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22

ftlb.) The tightening torque is reduced if the spark plugs are removed and installed again for another activity. - Tightening torque: 25 Nm (19
ftlb.)

2. Insert ignition coils into the spark-plug recesses and tighten using two M6 x 25 fastening screws each - Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.). Then

connect the cable plugs and position the rubber sleeves on the coils.

3. Insert the cover plates again and fit them using two fastening screws on each one. - Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.).

Subsequent work

1. Fit rear wheels using special tool socket-wrench insert P300 so as not to damage the rims.
