2. Close the hood and leave it to dry following hot-steam cleaning.
3. Hood impregnation:
Use the hood care product from the Cabriolet Tequipment care case
Let the hood dry completely before using the product. Spray hood care product evenly and lightly from a distance of approx. 10 to 20 cm. Do not
spray on glass, polyglass or painted surfaces and protect these surfaces from spray mist. Apply 2 or 3 times to seams if necessary. Only spray for a
few seconds. Leave to dry off well following application. Do not apply in strong sunlight or on heated surfaces.
Care of convertible-top seals
NOTE:

The convertible-top seals have an anti-friction coating or are flocked and do not require any special care.

Never grease or lubricate or spray on gaskets that are flocked or have an anti-friction coating.

Clean soiled seals with clear water.

It is only possible to rinse the convertible top or to use an automatic car wash after the flocked gaskets have dried.

Symptom
Grating noises from around the C-pillar during hardtop operation.
Causes and remedial action
Cause
Operating the hardtop causes relative movements between the T-bolts and rear side section flap, resulting in grating noises.
Remedial action
In the event of a complaint, stick two strips of tricot tape on the rear side section flap (at the left and right), in the T-bolt contact surface area.
